I’ve always been a writer. Huddled by the window on the bus, I filled spiral notebooks with stories modeled after Beverly Cleary or Ann M. Martin. Not too long after those bus rides, I met my husband. We fell in love sometime between Homecoming and Prom, which explains my tendency to create love stories from that age.

I worked as a chemist and a social worker before leaving the Washington, DC area for the New River Valley of Virginia. If I’m not writing, I’m probably outside with my husband and our two kids. I also co-run a nonprofit and awareness campaign for the tick-borne condition alpha-gal syndrome, and I manage our hobby farm of cats, dogs, sheep, hens, and a very ornery rooster.
